On July 26th, 2024, SearchGPT was launched.

When I visited the webpage, it told me to wait, so I quickly got in line.

Not sure if OpenAI is really "coming for Google" like some Korean articles suggest, but most people will probably Google "SearchGPT" to get into it.

Do you know what Koreans search the most on Google? It's "Naver," the leading search engine in Korea. Lol.

But I'm curious to see how SearchGPT, which summarizes search results, will change things.

I was trying to find something called "GPT 탐색" in Korean,

which means "GPT Explore" in English. I read that it's capable of real-time web searches, providing information based on the latest data. But I couldn't find where to access it. So I googled "탐색," which means "search," and that's when I discovered that OpenAI's "Search GPT" was launched today.

Turns out, "GPT 탐색" refers to "Explore GPTs," which was right there in the ChatGPT menu. I never thought to click on it!

In "GPT Explore," you can search for the chatbot you need. If you want to create a logo, there's a chatbot for that. If you want to make music, there's a chatbot for that too.

By adding web browsing capabilities, unlike ChatGPT 3.5, which only had data up to September 2021, the latest data can be collected and used to produce results. You can use the latest data with ChatGPT-4 as well.

Anyway, in "GPT Explore," you can call up the desired chatbot and have conversations just like you do with ChatGPT, while creating content. The more detailed you are in expressing your ideas, the better the results will match your expectations. I should spend some time getting used to it.

I never thought about using ChatGPT on my phone, but with the app, you can use the speaking and listening features right away, making it great for practicing foreign language conversations.

With the arrival of Copilot, I thought it was a new era for Microsoft, but it was slower than I expected. Now, ChatGPT has become an integral part of my daily life.

Time to get back to exploring GPT...
